On long stretches of paper, folded like the currents and waves of the sea, an orphaned cat encounters Mama D’Lo, a mythical hero from Caribbean folklore. This tiny tale links centuries of Atlantic crossings and imagines an underwater world where voyagers lost among the waves find a transformed life breathing in the sea.
… A big wave rolls over
and takes her under.
She meets a mermaid,
who introduce herself
as Mama D’lo.
She work fast and
teach Missy G
how tobreathe
become a mermaid.
